Time flies by so fast. We spend quite a lot of time on twitter at the moment; getting to know other people, their blogs and pictures. Sharing stories, laughing at the felines and their humans. Snooky is oh-so-tired from all the twittering, as you can see^^ .
Unfortunately it's not always just fun though. That's the way life is (I guess...?), there are also sad news every now and then in the online-world.
Within only a few hours, three wonderful cats died; they came from various parts of this world, I didnt even know them all or at least not really well. Well, but...
Such bad news hurt, and they hurt deeply.
Because we all who share our lives with cats, dogs or any other non-human companions, know one thing for sure: One day, - one bad, deeply black day, it will hit all of us.
It's in the nature of things, that human outlives the cat mostly. If the humans time isn't up yet.
Consequently the human sooner or later has to face the fact; he will have to say goodbye to his furry friend. Forever, that is.
At this point I am always wondering, how doting and childish it must seem to non-pet 'owners' when others morn for a pet as they would for a beloved human.
Animals are no humans. And cats are for sure no children. But...
An animal loves without questioning. An animal is there without demanding. An animal needs without depending.
The cat glances right into your soul and purrs her way silently into your heart. She licks your hand and says without words: You're good just the way you are. I love you. You are my world.
Which human is capable of just that?
For Harves, Puz and Tinka
and for all the other cats who
have to leave their humans behind...
